  • We're road tripping to Fresno! Join AKA-SF members on Saturday, Jan 26 as we head to Fresno to celebrate the release of Lee Herrick's latest book, Scar and Flower. In addition to a reading, we'll be meeting up before hand for a social/happy hour. Get all the details with the link in our profile, or visit our Facebook page and click on "Events." Can’t make it to Fresno? We’ll also be attending Lee’s Oakland signing on February 16th!

  • Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the holidays with AKA-SF earlier this month! This year, our annual holiday dinner had over 40 people attend, and the party didn't end at Ohgane (swipe to see more!). We are so proud of the community here at AKA-SF, and can't wait to see you all in 2019. Happy Holidays!
  • Applications for Me & Korea's 2019 Mosaic Tour are available now, and due at the end of this month! If you have ever considered returning to Korea as part of a tour for adult adoptees, this is a great one to check out. Me & Korea is based in the Bay Area, and several AKA-SF members have participated in this tour.   • Local San Franciscans may be familiar with the restaurants @namusf, @namustonepot and Namu Street Food, but were you familiar with @namu_farm? Located in Winters, California, the farm grows much of the produce used at the restaurants. Namu Farm is run by Kristyn Leach, a Korean adoptee from Long Island. @greatbigstory recently published a video feature about Kristyn, which you can check out over on our blog at aka-sf.org!
